Codex Las Huelgas (14c.)

This discography of Codex Las Huelgas (E-BUlh) has been compiled with reference to the facsimile and edition published by Higini Anglės (Barcelona, 1931). The compilation has been in progress for many years, and it has now been formatted to match the Du Fay and Josquin des Prez discographies on this website. The works are listed alphabetically and identified by the index numbers in the Anglės edition. The recordings are arranged chronologically, citing conductor, ensemble, date of recording if known, and timing if available. Following is the issued format (78, 45, 33, LP, MC, CD, SACD, DVD), the label, the issue number(s), album titles and track numbers.

One hundred twenty-four pieces, monophonic and polyphonic, have been recorded. Forty-one polyphonic pieces listed below have not been recorded. Unrecorded monophonic pieces are not listed. Michael Gray’s website, classical-discography.org, provided details of some entries. Acknowledgement is due to the discography of sonusantiqva.org for additional entries and to Agnieszka Budzińska-Bennett for assistance.

Additions and corrections may be conveyed to the compiler for inclusion in a revised version of the work. Go to Chantdiscography.com and click on ‘contact us’. A scan of a CD booklet that provides needed data would be invaluable.
